CBEM data tables provide a reference for exploring childhood bereavement rates across multiple states and counties. The tables display each state’s CBEM results by age 18 and 25.

The CBEM generates two distinct estimates:

  • Current CBEM prevalence rates reflect the number and percent of youth who have already experienced the death of a parent or sibling. Current results support resource allocation and development efforts now.
  • Projected CBEM prevalence rates reflect the number and percent of youth who will experience the death of a parent or sibling. Projected results help prepare for future demands of services, grief resources, a qualified workforce, and advocacy efforts.

CBEM Reports feature projected results. Current prevalence rates are only available in the data tables below.
