High 5 Plumbing Supports Judi’s House

High 5 Plumbing selects Judi’s House as May and June as local non-profit to highlight for their High 5 Cares community giveback program.
High 5 Plumbing was established in 2012 with a promise to serve the Metro Denver area with high-quality, ethical, and honest plumbing work. Giving back to the community is a pillar of their business.
Every month, High 5 Cares nominates a local Denver nonprofit. When an organization is nominated, we work hard throughout that month to spread the word about their mission. This past May and June, High 5 Plumbing has partnered with us, donating proceeds from their merchandise sales, volunteering regularly, and attending events like Happy Hour in the Garden.
We talked with Community Outreach Coordinator of High 5 Plumbing Lori Sosa about their experience partnering with Judi’s House and their work to support our mission.
How did you learn about our cause and want to get involved?
We learned about Judi’s House when looking for new nonprofits to sponsor through our High 5 Cares program. We continue to be so inspired by the mission and work of Judi’s House and were thrilled to sponsor the organization for a second time!
Why is working with the community so important to you and your company?
Without our community, there would be no High 5. We recognize the crucial role the Denver community has played and continues to play in the growth and success of our organization, and that’s something we take for granted. By partnering with incredible nonprofits like Judi’s House, we’re able to expand and return the blessings we’ve received through our community back to organizations within it.
In your opinion, what is the most important work that JH does?
The most impactful facet of Judi’s House wide range of services is the play therapy offered to children. Loss and trauma relating to it can be such horrible and life-altering challenges. By incorporating therapy into play, it’s clear children are invited to face the tough realities of their lives while also enjoying the joys of being a child through play and finding reintegration after loss.
What has been the most profound takeaway from partnering with Judi’s House?
The most profound takeaway we’ve had after partnering with Judi’s House is gaining a deeper understanding of both the importance of this work and the scope of impact Judi’s House is having. Seeing the countless quilt squares and learning about the educational resources offered across the country brought into focus the incredible and widespread impact of Judi’s House.
