New York Life Foundation Continues Partnership with Judi’s House
marzo 18, 2019
We are thrilled to share that Judi’s House/JAG Institute was recently awarded a three-year, $1.65 million grant from the New York Life Foundation to continue to support advancement of the childhood bereavement field. We appreciate their ongoing commitment to helping communities better understand and address the needs of the bereaved.
This investment will allow us to expand and more widely share the data, tools, and knowledge gained through the Childhood Bereavement Estimation Model (CBEM), developed in part through a previous multi-year grant. Prior funding also enabled the launch of an organizational Electronic Health Record, improved data utilization, and advanced the development of the Adjustment to Trauma Loss and Adversity Scale (ATLAS), a measure that assesses and tracks children’s adjustment after a death.
The New York Life Foundation supports programs that benefit young people, particularly in the areas of childhood bereavement and educational enhancement, providing nearly $280 million in charitable contributions to national and local nonprofits since their founding in 1979. They strive to make a difference by funding direct service providers to help grieving children and their families today, as well as research that will have a long-term impact in the field.
