octubre 5, 2021
Staff: Katie Wilberding Cross, LCSW & Brenda Williams, LCSW
Meet staff members, Katie Wilberding Cross, LCSW and Brenda Williams, LCSW, who have a combined 16 years of experience delivering on our mission both at Judi’s House and in the community.
Katie Wilberding Cross, LCSW, started at Judi’s House as an intern in 2011 and has held various roles on the Program Team throughout her tenure. Currently, as the Assistant Director of Community-Based Care, Katie works with schools, community organizations, youth, and caregivers providing workshops, trainings, and middle school grief groups for youth unable to attend programming at Judi’s House.
In her free time, Katie likes to exercise, read, bake, and spend time exploring the mountains with her amazing family.
“What I value most about working at Judi’s House is being able to work alongside the most remarkable people! From the grieving youth and families, I get to serve, to my amazing colleagues, to an inspirational network of school and community professionals, I am honored to be part of this inspiring organization.”
Judi’s House Spanish Program Coordinator, Brenda Williams, LCSW joined the team in 2015 overseeing our Spanish language services and providing culturally sensitive grief care to Spanish- speaking families in group, individual, family, and/or play therapy settings. Brenda also provides care to our English-speaking clients as well.
A self-proclaimed cat-lady, Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband and their three cats watching a good horror movie. She’s recently started to like hiking, even though she might complain the whole time!
“I absolutely love that we get a chance to not only work with one individual in a family, but the family as a whole. The family unit is such an important system and each member has the opportunity to support each other in their grief. The work we do is so unique, and what touches my heart most is having the opportunity to provide our specialized services to Spanish-speaking families.”
