We Are All Connected: Staff Spotlights

August 31, 2022

Staff: Amanda Chapman and Deirdre Erkman

Meet two members of the Judi’s House/JAG Institute team who have made an impact on our mission.

Amanda Chapman has been the HR Generalist at Judi’s House/JAG Institute since September of 2021. In her role, she meets with and supports all Judi’s House/JAG Institute staff with the onboarding process, understanding their benefits, and processing payroll. She is a foodie with a sweet tooth and in her free time enjoys finding the Denver food trucks and restaurants with the best dessert menus alongside her friends and family.

“What I like most about working here at Judi’s House is the people. Every person I work with is so passionate about their work and the mission of Judi’s House. It truly feels like a warm hug any time I walk through these doors.”

Deirdre Erkman joined the Judi’s House/JAG Institute team in January 2022 and serves as our Evaluation Researcher leading our Childhood Bereavement Changemaker initiative, where she helps 30 chosen Changemaker organizations across the U.S. build evaluation capacity. She also hosts trainings about evaluation best practices for the broader community. In her free time, Deirdre enjoys playing boardgames at local breweries with friends, skiing, and paddling on the Japan America Society of Colorado’s Dragon Boat team.

“It’s such a joy seeing so many organizations in the field working towards a shared vision that no child should be alone in grief. I love working with others to better understand their programs and the powerful impacts that they produce.”
