Judi’s House Intern Reflects on Uvalde Shooting in Oprah Daily

Oprah Daily released an article highlighting parent perspectives following the tragic school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Among the featured voices was our very own grief counseling intern and author, Zuton Lucero-Mills, who spoke about Judi’s House and her own thoughts and emotions following the shooting.

For me, it is both personal and professional. I am a grieving mother, mother of school-age children, and a grief counseling intern at Judi’s House, where I work with grieving children and their families. I hold the pain of losing a child for myself, as well as for the families we serve.
