Special Guest – Charles woodson, former NFL defensive back and safety

We are thrilled to be joined by the one and only Charles Woodson. Charles is undeniably one of the greatest defensive players to ever play in the NFL. Don’t just take our word for it he is a finalist for the 2021 Class of Inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame!

Charles and Judi’s House/JAG Institute co-founder and ESPN Monday Night Football Analyst, Brian Griese, have known each other for more than 25 years, winning a National Championship together at Michigan in 1997. That same year, Charles won the Heisman Trophy and is still the only defensive player to be honored with the title.

As the fourth overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft, Charles continued to rack up accolades throughout his career. The nine-time Pro Bowler still has the most defensive touchdowns in the league, was named the 2009 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and captained the Green Bay Packers in their Super Bowl XLV victory.

Brian will sit down with his former Michigan teammate to breakdown this year’s Big Game matchups and talk about life since retiring from the NFL including Charles’ charity work, wine business, and future in television. We will also look back at Super Bowl XLV moments with the Green Bay Packers and find out what Charles did at halftime to inspire his team to be World Champions.

Join us for a great conversation on what you need to watch for in the Big Game and learn about the important work being done at Judi’s House/JAG Institute!

2021 healing hand award Recipient – the betts family

We are honored to announce the recipient of our 2021 Healing Hand Award – The Betts Family! This award recognizes members of the Judi’s House/JAG Institute community who have gone above and beyond to give back to the grieving children and families we serve.

Former clients, The Betts Family has supported our mission and vision through events like the Royal Ball and the annual Michael and Cora Betts Legacy Golf Tournament. The golf tournament honors the lives of Michael and Cora, siblings who lost their lives in a tragic car accident. Since 2008, the golf tournament has raised nearly $200,000 in support of bereaved families in our community.

“One of the hardest things for my wife and I is that I know in the months following the accident, we weren’t the parents we felt we could’ve been…Running [the golf tournament] over the years always makes me think about Judi’s House, what they do, and helps remind me that the grief journey is ongoing and allows me to be a better parent.” – Mike Betts (Co-Founder of the Michael and Cora Legacy Foundation with wife Debbie)
